Sophia's Story
She likes purple and pink flowers...and puppies! That's Sophia.
She sounds like any other four year old, except she isn't. Sophia has autism. And while she adores those things, she isn't able to talk about them much or interact with them like normal children. In fact, since Sophia's diagnosis at the age of two, her life has been turned upside down.
These days, Sophia's life is about therapies, doctor visits, blood tests and monitoring all with the mission of finding the treatment protocol that will bring her out of her autistic shell so she can live a full life. And time is of the essence.
Sophia's parents are doing everything possible to improve her condition before Sophia turns six — a critical age according to autism experts. And like many families, desperate to do whatever it takes, they have turned to promising biomedical treatments. The problem is the treatments are expensive and not covered by insurance companies who take the stance that autism is incurable. That's why Sophia's family needs your help...right now.
